Self care is necessary care, let's help you care for your skin

Skincare Mistakes To Avoid

What we eat and what we put on our skin ultimately shows up on our skin. Every little detail matters when it comes to skincare. This is why it is important to be meticulous about the way we care for our skin. Mistakes in skincare are bound to happen but should be avoided as much as possible. Here are some mistakes you should definitely stop doing

Leaving your face bare for too long after cleansing

A minute is all it takes for your skin to become dry. Immediately after cleansing, moisturize. Do not wait till your skin dries up before. You could alternatively go in for your toner before moisturizing. It is even better to moisturize whilst your skin is a bit damp so the products can penetrate the skin for maximum benefits.

Exfoliating all the time

You've heard the saying 'too much of everything is bad'. This is particularly true in skincare. Exfoliating too much exposes your skin to even more damage than before. The golden rule is to exfoliate two to three times weekly. If you have sensitive skin, once a week is fine.

No double cleansing after removing makeup

One of the good things you can do for your skin is to double cleanse especially after taking off your makeup. You can wash it off with the Facial Cleanser and follow it up with the Shea Bar Soap. Make sure there are no traces of makeup on the face before moisturizing.

Ignoring neck, chest and feet

The forgotten trio - neck, chest and feet. Most of us are guilty of ignoring these. Be conscious about taking care of your neck, chest and feet just as much as you care for your face. You definitely do not want to have healthy and flawless face with patched up neck and chest and cracked heels.

With skincare, we keep learning everyday and that's fine. All that matters is that we upgrade our knowledge and skincare routine for healthier skin. You're doing great. For further skin consultation, please do not hesitate to contact us on Facebook or Instagram or via +233 596 050 073.
