Skin Care Regimen: The Do's and Dont's

Having good skin can take time and a bit of effort. This is why having a regimen is your best bet to getting and maintaining clear skin. But what are the do's and don'ts of having good skin and how do we go by them

Cleanse your skin


We cannot over emphasize this enough. Make it part of your routine every morning and evening. Wash your face with a facial soap. Dab your face dry. Pour a small amount of Facial Cleanser onto a cotton roll and gently cleanse your face with it. It sets the tone for a clean face. Some people prefer to cleanse before washing with soap. Find out which one works for you.


Don't use facial cleanser not suited for your skin. When trying out new cleansers (or any other cosmetics), first perform a patch test by testing a small patch of your face with the cleanser to make sure you don't react to it. 

Exfoliate regularly


Do away with the dead skin cells sitting comfortably on your face. It is one of the simplest ways of getting fresher and younger skin. You can do this twice or thrice a week depending on your skin type. If you're in doubt as to the products to use, Kaydua's range of face and body scrubs will help.


Whilst exfoliating, do well not to scrub your skin too aggressively. Gently rubbing the scrub in circular motions all over your face and neck, and the rest of your body. Avoid using harsh products as well. When you realize you're over exfoliating, please reduce how often you exfoliate. 

Use a facial moisturizer


Contrary to popular beliefs, not all lotions are good for the face. Look for products that specifically used to moisturize the face. To properly hydrate your face for a fresher look, use a Facial Moisturizer. Your face will look softer, smoother and younger.  


 Whilst moisturizing your face, don't ignore your neck and chest. Ignoring these areas makes those parts age faster compared to the face. For an even younger look, include your neck and chest in your regimen.

Drink a lot of water


Drink a lot of water. Hydrate from the inside out. At least, try to drink 8 glasses of water every single day. Doing this helps in keeping the skin fresher and generally healthy.


Don't just fill your water bottle and stare at it all day. Drink it!
