Skin Care Tips for Dry Skin


No one desires to have dry skin. It can lead to flaky skin and even make fine lines and wrinkles appear visibly. All hope isn't lost if you have dry skin. Below are some skin care tips for dry skin.

Keep Your Shower Time Short

To avoid drying out your skin, please keep your time in the shower short. About 5 to 10 minutes shower time should do the trick. If possible use warm water instead of hot water. Room temperature water also works fine.

Use Dimesize Soap

Use just a little bit of soap when bathing. Ideally, do not use so much to create so much lather. Just a little bit goes a long way. You can use Kaydua Luxury's Black Soap Body Wash or Black Soap in a Jar which cleanses and moisturizes your skin at the same time.

 Pat Dry Your Skin After Your Shower

This is to ensure that your skin is a bit moist. This helps for easy absorption of the moisturizer when applied.

Apply Moisturizer Right After Your Shower

Immediately after you pat dry your skin, apply moisturizer. Using an ointment, Shea Body Butter or Body Oils work best on dry skin. 

Carry A Moisturizer In Your Purse

Doing this might look tedious but could greatly help. Anytime you feel your skin becoming dry, apply the moisturizer. It's better to use body butter or body oil if you have dry skin instead of using lotion.
